Ischemic Stroke (88%)
Occurs when blood supply to brain is blocked
(e.g. clot; embolic or thrombotic blockage)

Hemorrhagic Stroke (12%)
Occurs when a blood vessel in the brain bursts
(e.g. Intracerebral hemorrhage, Subarachnoid hemorrhage)
